Alhaji Sulaimon Adebayo (People Demicratic Party Egbedore Local Government Party Chairman), led a delegation of party leaders on a congratulatory visit to two newly installed kings in Egbedore Local Government on January 4, 2025.
The visit was to honor and celebrate the ascension of:
HRM Oba Olayinka Oyetunde Ishola Jokotola, (the Olujudo of Ido Osun Alayemore Kingdom) and
HRM Oba Kazeem Oyekunle Ilufemiloye, the Olokinni of Okinni.
The delegation, which included Hon. Sanya Okunade, the PDP Chairmanship Candidate for Egbedore Local Government, Hon Abiola Aderinto , PDP Egbedore Local Government Secretary,the Local Woman Leader, Local Youth Leader, Councillorship Candidates, and prominent PDP leaders, received a warm welcome in both palaces by the kings and their chiefs.
During the visit, party leaders introduced all PDP candidates contesting in the forthcoming local government election. The monarchs expressed their appreciation for the developmental achievements of Governor Ademola Adeleke within two years and pledged their unwavering support for his administration.
Additionally, the kings praised Senator Akogun Lere Oyewunmi, representing Osun West, and Hon. Bamidele Salam, representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo Federal Constituency, for their impactful contributions, particularly in Ido Osun and Okinni.
At the Palace of Olojudo Of Ido the Chiefs also lauded Hon. Sanya Okunade for his commendable achievements during his tenure as Caretaker Chairman of Egbedore Local Government and his role as the Chairman of Finance committee during the Burial of the Late Olojudo Of Ido Osun HRM Arch. Adeen Aderemi Adedapo Sapoyoro 1,They expressed their support for his candidacy and assured him of their goodwill toward all PDP candidates in the upcoming elections.
After the palace visits, the PDP delegation proceeded to visit two revered community leaders, Chief Mrs. Atinuke Oyawoye and Chief Kolade Adeleke. The delegation conveyed New Year greetings and received words of encouragement, further solidifying party unity and community connection.
This series of visits underscores the PDP’s commitment to engaging with traditional institutions and community stakeholders for the progress and development of Egbedore Local Government.
