Representative Bamidele Salam, the federal lawmaker representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo federal constituency of Osun State, has expressed deep sorrow and heartfelt condolences to His Royal Majesty, Oba Adedokun Abolarin, the Orangun of Oke-Ila, following the painful loss of his wife, Olori Solape Christianah Abolarin.
In an emotional message shared in the wake of the tragic news, Rep. Salam described the passing of Olori Solape as “heart-wrenching” and a devastating blow not only to the royal family but also to the entire Oke-Ila community and Osun State at large.
“Kabiyesi, I can’t even gather any strength to put a call through to you in this difficult moment. I am extremely sad reading about Olori’s demise. I never heard she was ill or whatever. This is definitely heart-wrenching,” Rep. Salam stated.
While grappling with the shock of the loss, the lawmaker praised the late Olori’s unwavering dedication to humanitarian causes and her tireless service to the less privileged.
“She lived a life of commitment to the poor and less privileged. She was kind to all and humble in carriage in spite of her status,” Salam noted.
He highlighted Olori Solape’s impactful work in the areas of health and education, especially in underserved communities across Osun State, describing her legacy as one that will endure through the lives she touched.
“Her remarkable contributions to health and education in several parts of the state will never be forgotten,” he affirmed.
Rep. Salam extended his deepest sympathies to Oba Adedokun Abolarin, acknowledging the strength and resilience of the monarch and the unshakable bond he shared with the late Olori.
“I can only pray that God Almighty comforts you in this moment, Sir. I am deeply sad, but God knows best,” he said.
