Hallowmace Africa has honoured the Member representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore and Ejigbo Federal Constituency of Osun State in the House of Representatives, Rep. Bamidele Salam, with the Most Outstanding House Member, South-West Geo-Political Zone award at the National Legislative Awards 2026.
The non-governmental organisation presented the award during the National Legislative Awards ceremony held on Thursday at the NAF Event Conference Centre, Abuja, in recognition of what the organisers described as Rep. Salam’s outstanding contributions to legislative service, effective representation, and commitment to advancing good governance and public accountability.
The award was received on his behalf by a member of the House of Representatives Committee on Public Accounts, Rep. Sunday Cyriacus Umeha of Enugu State.
“As Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Public Accounts, Rep. Salam has led several legislative oversight activities aimed at promoting transparency and accountability in the management of public resources.
He has also facilitated constituency development initiatives in education, youth empowerment, healthcare, infrastructure, and economic development across Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore and Ejigbo Federal Constituency,” the organisers said.
The organisers noted that the recognition forms part of the National Legislative Awards’ decade-long tradition of celebrating lawmakers whose advocacy, leadership, and legislative performance have made significant contributions to governance and national development.
The event attracted lawmakers, government officials, policymakers, development partners, and other stakeholders from across the country to celebrate excellence in legislative service.
Speaking after receiving the award, Rep. Salam expressed gratitude to Hallowmace Africa for the recognition, dedicating the honour to God and the people of his constituency for their unwavering support and confidence in his leadership.
He reaffirmed his commitment to sustaining effective representation, strengthening legislative oversight, and championing initiatives that improve the welfare of his constituents and contribute to Nigeria’s development.
