Traditional rulers in Egbedore Local Government Area of Osun State have congratulated Governor Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke on his re-election for a second term, describing the victory as a reflection of the people’s trust in his leadership.
In a joint message issued under the leadership of the Chairman of the Egbedore Traditional Council, His Royal Majesty Oba Olayinka Ishola Jokotola II, the Ilufemiloye I and Olojudo of Ido-Osun Alayemore, the monarchs said the renewed mandate is “a call to greater service.”
The royal fathers commended the governor’s commitment to the development of the state and urged him to prioritize peace, unity, good governance, youth empowerment, education, healthcare, infrastructure, and rural development in his second term. They also emphasized the welfare of grassroots communities.
The Obas further called for stronger collaboration between the state government and the traditional institution, noting the critical role of traditional rulers in maintaining peace, preserving cultural heritage, and promoting sustainable development across communities.
Other signatories to the message are His Royal Majesty Oba Dr. Olubayo Adesola Windapo, Oyelade-Abidogun I, Alara of Ara Kingdom; His Royal Majesty Oba Abdulrasaq Taiwo Ajibade Adegboye, Abioye III, Alawo of Awo; and His Royal Majesty Oba (Dr.) Folorunsho Agboade Makanju, Osunsoko I, Aragberi of Iragberi.
The traditional rulers prayed for God’s guidance, wisdom, sound health, and protection for the governor and his family. They expressed optimism that the second tenure would bring greater development, prosperity, peace, and progress to every part of Osun State.
