The BILLIONSMILE CAMPUS RELIEF (LAUTECH Edition) was successfully carried out on Friday, 30 January 2026, at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomosho, as part of a strategic student welfare intervention by the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Southwest Zone D.
The outreach was facilitated by the Office of the Special Adviser on Information and Communication Technology to the Assistant General Secretary of NANS Southwest, with the objective of providing support to students amid the ongoing examination period and alleviating prevailing economic and academic challenges.
The programme was organised under the leadership and in the name of the Assistant General Secretary of NANS Southwest and Incoming Coordinator, Comrade Josiah Adeyemo Kayode (BILLIONCODES), and was sponsored by the Special Adviser on Information and Communication Technology, Comrade Adebiyi Caleb (BILLIONSMILES).
Activities commenced with the arrival of NANS officials and volunteers, followed by a brief welcome address, opening prayer, and a formal introduction of the BILLIONSMILE CAMPUS RELIEF initiative.
A solidarity message was subsequently delivered on behalf of the Assistant General Secretary of NANS Southwest by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Comrade Samuel Idowu (SAMPACK) urging students to remain focused, disciplined, and resilient throughout their examinations.
A key highlight of the programme was the distribution of raw food items to LAUTECH students, aimed at providing material support and easing welfare concerns during the examination period.
The distribution exercise was conducted peacefully and in an orderly manner, drawing commendable responses from beneficiaries.
Students who benefited from the initiative expressed appreciation for the timely intervention, describing it as a demonstration of empathy, proactive leadership, and commitment to student welfare by NANS Southwest.
Interactive sessions and photo documentation further strengthened engagement between NANS officials and the student community.
In his remarks, the Special Adviser on ICT commended Comrade Josiah Adeyemo Kayode (BILLIONCODES) for his student-focused leadership and dedication to welfare-driven programmes.
Appreciation was also extended to NANS JCC Oyo, LAUTECH comrades, the BILLIONCODES Team, Ladokites, and all volunteers whose collective efforts contributed to the success of the outreach.
According to the organisers, the BILLIONSMILE CAMPUS RELIEF at LAUTECH reaffirms NANS Southwest’s unwavering commitment to student welfare, solidarity, and impactful leadership across tertiary institutions within the region.
