In a significant milestone for the Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo federal constituency, Representative Bamidele Salam, the member representing the constituency in the House of Representatives, commissioned several completed projects and laid the foundations for new ones.
This marks a continued effort to enhance the constituency’s infrastructure and educational facilities.
As part of his ongoing initiatives, Salam also visited the sites of ongoing projects, which he facilitated for the constituency, to assess progress and ensure the quality of work.
On Saturday, Salam, who also serves as Chairman of the House Committee on Public Accounts, reported the successful commissioning of new classrooms.
These included a block of classrooms at Inisa-Edoro School and Ogiyan High School in Ejigbo Local Government Area, both of which were officially handed over to the respective institutions.
Additionally, the lawmaker laid the foundation for new classroom blocks at several schools, including Ika, CAC Grammar School in Ede, Baptist Grammar School in Ede, and St. Paul’s Primary School in Ido-Osun. Each will have eight classrooms to enhance learning environments.
Salam also inspected the ongoing first phase of the rehabilitation of key roads in the constituency, including the Aato-Inisa-Ejigbo road and Adetoro road, to monitor the quality of work and ensure timely completion.
Further, a free internet broadband center, provided by the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC), was handed over to the Olorunsogo market and community in Egbedore Local Government.
This facility will greatly enhance digital access for the local population.
In his remarks, Rep. Salam met with community leaders and reiterated his commitment to bringing more development programmes and projects to the constituency, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to serve and assuring that further progress would continue with the help of God.
