The aftermath reaction following the invasion of an armed robbery gang member hide out in Bende Local Government Area, Abia state is generating more reactions after some years the attack took place.
It was gathered that the gun battle which lasted for about an hour between the Nigeria Police Force and a deadly Robbery group in Bende community, 20th july 2017 left some gang members and their leader dead.
Accordingto our investigative reporter Uchena Kingsley “On the 12th March 2023, some of the escaped gang members in a reprisal attack shot dead one Mr innocent Nlewedim 38 while having a discussion with his friend, whose wife happens to be the police officer in front of her family house.
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Police Force has reiterated “that there will be no hiding place for criminals in the state.” The authorities further called on the public to give every useful information that will lead to the arrest of the gang perpetrators.
