The lawmaker representing Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, Ejigbo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep. Bamidele Salam, has formally commenced his campaign for re-election to the National Assembly.
Salam, who is seeking a third term in the House, made the announcement in a message to his constituents, friends, associates and supporters, calling for their support as he seeks to continue representing the constituency.
Declaring the commencement of his campaign, Salam said his ambition was anchored on sustaining effective representation and promoting the welfare of his constituents and the development of Nigeria.
He said, “Having served conscientiously and with remarkable impact in the last two terms, I promise to remain focused on effective representation and unwavering commitment to the well-being of our people and progress of our dear country in the 11th Assembly of the House of Representatives.”
Salam also identified Accord as the political platform on which he would seek re-election, describing the party as the platform of his political leader, Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State.
The lawmaker appealed to constituents and supporters to contribute to the campaign through prayers, mobilisation, lawful donations, advocacy and voting.
“I humbly ask for your support in prayers, mobilisation, donations within legal limits, campaigns and voting if you are registered in my constituency,” he said.
Salam’s re-election bid is expected to focus on consolidating his record of representation while pursuing additional development initiatives for communities across Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore and Ejigbo.
He pledged to remain committed to effective representation and the welfare of his constituents as he seeks another term in the House of Representatives.
